My pick for the best all around restaurant in Boerne! The ribeye and red wine portabello mushrooms are must tries. My wife and I chose one of the hightops at the separated bar last night and had Jon Blake as our waiter he's got to be the best server in San Antonio! He was professional, gave great recommendations (the Red Deer, y'all! , coursed us, was very attentive and yet relaxed and social at the same time. And he was not wrong about choosing the GF brownie to finish our evening! Request him if you want to make your event a 10! I can't say enough good things about Peggy's. It's a staple of Boerne and a great place for both upscale and low key evenings.
