Restaurant bewertenGreat waitress despite it being busy. She got my son to turn from being grumpy/hungry to smiling and enjoying himself. The food is always spot on and worth it.
RACIST SPOT!! DO NOT GO IF YOU ARE NOT WHITE! THEY WILL REFUSE TO SERVE YOU OR WILL TREAT YOU HORRIBLY.I’ve tried going into this restaurant on two occasions: the first time in 2020 and the second time was today, 4/25/22. On both occasions, the staff all but refused to serve us. My wife and are POC’s. We’re Hispanic Americans. The first time we went there, we walked in and no one greeted us until one worker came up to us and asked “oh are you looking for the bathroom?” What reason would she assume that we were there for the rest room instead of dining in? Then when we said no, they told us it’d be a 30 minute wait even though there were several open tables. When I went up to the hostess to write my name down, she didn’t even acknowledge me at all. So we left.Assuming that time was a fluke, I tried to go again today. When we pulled up, there was a group of four Caucasian patrons talking out front. They then walked in and were sat. When we then walked up to the door, the workers whispered in eachother’s ears and gave us dirty looks. They didn’t say anything to us until we greeted them first. They then reluctantly told us they can only seat us outside right now, but there were several tables empty inside. I then mentioned that I had just seen four guys walk in right before us. The employees then looked at each other and one of them responded, “those guys are employees.” They were absolutely not employees. The four men didn’t have on uniforms and they were wearing jeans and baseball caps with sunglasses. Clearly the employee was lying. After they responded that, me and my wife just walked away. It’s clear that this spot has no desire to serve anyone not white. I realize that GA is the Old South, but Blue Ridge is practically metro Atlanta. No need for this level of racism in 2022.0/5.
Loved this restaurant. It was Christmas time and I had gathered my whole family for the week in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Staying in a hotel with no time to plan meals. Found that Masseria Kitchen Bar was actually open on Christmas Day so bingo! Great food, we all really enjoyed it. I had Seafood Fajitas and it was so yummy. The restaurant has outside seating but it was too cold for that. The inside is charming with a full bar. Nice varied menu with lots of selections. All four people in my party really enjoyed their food. The restaurant is located in charming downtown Blue Ridge which is a great place to walk around sightseeing. They have a train that's available for a short train trip. Super great way for us to enjoy our Christmas Day. Apologies to the staff that had to work, but thank you for making our day very special!!
Marsha/Marcia was wonderful!!! My husband and I came into the Masseria for a late lunch after the tour on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. She was genuine, kind, funny, and just an all-around great person. She's one of those folks who just makes you feel better when you're around them. Also, the food was delicious!
Last minute decision to eat here worked out great! The service was excellent, and we enjoyed sitting on the patio. The Greek salad was amazing! We had a half pepperoni and half supreme pizza that was also amazing! The dough is hand tossed. We loved the atmosphere. Highly recommend!
