Restaurant bewertenWe had reserved one hour in advance, but there was no problem on this nice balmy Fall day in this resort town compare Newort, RI in the US . A frienly barman/waiter/owner ? with a beard he almost looked like Santa Clause, but this is not a derogotary remark, the beard suited him well, took our and other orders in the room filled with advertising classics. We ordered a tournados St Jacques scaplops wrapped around ris de veau sweetbread and 'morue dish cod . We shared a pain perdu litterally a lost bread, but it means that the bread is put in a mixture of eggs and milk think of French toast . A half a bottle of wine Mignabery for the two of us was more than sufficient not to leave the restaurant totally drunk and yes, we had to drive to our nice hotel in St Jean de Luz afterwards walking is not an option from Biarritz excepts for the real sporty men and women among us! The bill for 2 came to almost 68 euros. We left the bistrot satisfied and if we are returning to this very nice, green, region, then we will stop by again;
After two week trip of Spain and France, the meal at Bistrot des Halles was one of the best. Really enjoyed the scallops, tuna and razor clams. Friendly service. Not a pretentious place.
We should have booked but the host Gerald managed to squeeze our Family in. A fantastic dinner and evening and certainly will be returning. Thank you!!!!
After trying in several restaurants around without luck, we asked and the waitress, very kind, made us a hole. the menu is not very wide, but the dishes are excellently prepared and the food is very good and of quality. a fairly acceptable quality-price ratio and the treatment of all 10 staff. to repeat without a doubt.
The waitresses were very nice, the very good meal.I had taken nuts of holy jacques with veal rice and purée.
