Restaurant bewertenLove the shrimp and grits- they never disappoint! We enjoyed a lovely lunch on the patio. Ellie our server was on point!
If the kitchen was better this would be an excellent restaurant. The ambience is very nice and the service has been good whenever we've been there. If a little spotty, the servers are always very nice. The food just isn't as good as it should be considering the prices. We could see the kitchen from our table and it looked like the two guys working there should have been paying more attention to cooking rather than having a good time. Not sure if the biscuits were supposed to be hard and crunchy, but they were in the Hobgoblin Eggs Benedict. Not great for mopping up the sausage gravy and poached egg. A lot of the items seemed to have been cooked earlier, not made to order. Although it took a long time to get our food once we ordered. My husband had the hash with over easy eggs, no bacon. Eggs were more done than over easy and it was served with bacon. Another person dining with us ordered crisp bacon and it wasn't. Banana bread was very good. Other diners that came in after we did were served their meals before we got ours. Not sure why, but since we weren't in a hurry, it was OK. Yes, it might be one of the best restaurants in the area, but that's because it's one of the only restaurants in the area.
Excellent restaurant. Our go to place usually once per week. The patio is dog friendly and a great option on nice evenings.
Wonderful patio area, we loved being able to bring our leashed dog. Great service, drinks and food equally great.
We sat on the patio, so the noise was determined by how often groups of motorcycles or loud trucks passed by. We ordered a few appetizers, some of their seafood options, and the summer pasta. Quality and quantity varied between them. The salmon spread, soul spiced shrimp, and spinach avocado dip were great and the portions were generous enough for our group. The French Mussels had an odd aftertaste that we decided might have been due to bitter leaks or the aoli breaking in the broth. The summer pasta was disappointing: For a pasta dish, it was more of an appetizer or pasta course of a larger meal and not an entrée. There was very little character in the flavor beyond pepper flakes. Overall, the prices seemed high compared to the quality of food, but this is also a restaurant dependent on seasonal traffic so prices reflect this need. My recommendations to friends would be conditional on their expectations. It's worth a trip to try them out, some of the entrees may be better than our experience.
