The Barking Dog - Bethesda

Like this bar. I was introduced to Bethesda on my last business trip. It's a very cool little bar. The staff is friendly and helpful and always keeps your glasses full. I really like the ambience of the place as it is not a corporate chain that tries too hard to justify price-gouging. This is my bar for all my trips to the area.

We had dinner and drinks here while we were in Bethesda for a few days. It's a nice local pub. Dinner was not fancy, but was good pub food. We ate outside and our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Definitely a good place to have a drink and enjoy the local color!

I stopped in for a quick bite and a few drinks. I had the Cheesesteak sandwich with fries. The sandwich was great as were the fries. The drinks were on point. The server was very attentive and polite. Also, the manager was very attentive as well. They have outdoor dining also for those who prefer that.

I have been going to The Dog for many years. The food is always great and the service is quick. John is always on point running his bar. The place is very clean and he does a great job keeping the place clean and up to date given the age of the building it looks great.

Great place to grab a drink and a bite to eat. I had the gyro with curly fries and it was so yummy! Mr. John at the bar is so funny…reminds me of my Dad not pretentious at all.
