Restaurant bewertenI have been coming here for years. We are leaving the area and this was our last visit. The dining room is rustic. The chairs are uncomfortable. The tables wobble. The decor is old and does not change. But the German beer is always cold, the schnitzel is always crispy and the potatoes always cooked. Whether you are served by the mom or the daughter or the cook they hire for the summer you might feel the service is a bit off but one thing is for sure things never change and the food is good and the walk on the rocks after you feel like you ate too much on the ocean is even better.
Plenty of choices for food. The restaurant is clean and well-managed. Our favorite was the flounder. Great pies and ice cream as well!
This is German fare in a Nova Scotia fishing village. The food is okay but not as good as we were expecting. The open hours seem to be random. The restaurant is not visited much by locals and does not seem to be overly friendly. Good place for a snack when visiting the beach but I would not go out of my way to go there.
Mostly German-style food, nice change from the usual seafood we eat in Nova Scotia. Lovely and unique decor, friendly service and reasonable prices. Don't miss the fabulous apple strudel!
Loooooved it!! I am originally from Germany and this meal brought back memories. A German beer is the perfect add-on.
