Taj Mahal Indian Take Away - Benijofar

I very rarely write reviews, but the ones that I have have been good reviews, this is my first bad one. We ordered our drinks and then our meal, my husband tried to ask the waiter something but he spoke over my husband, ignored the question and just walked off, we had a little giggle over it. When the meal came, one of the dishes we'd ordered was very dry meat, we told staff it wasn't right, it should be in a rich sauce, they said that's how they serve it, we've ordered the same thing in numerous Indian restaurants before so know how it should be served so we said we didn't want it, they brought it back smothered in a runny vinigar sauce. We also had tikka masala which was bland, onion bhaji and mushroom bhaji, the whole meal was a disaster nothing had any flavour, worst Indian meal we've ever had. We had one drink each and it came to €50. The owner was there so we made a complaint, he told us he was happy with his restaurant and didn't want customers like us. We live just along the road and several neighbours have told us bad things about it but I read reviews that seemed ok so said we should try it for ourselves. Please don't waste your time or money in this place, pop your head in first and see how empty it always is. Good restaurants are never empty.

Really good food and lots of it too. We had from the menu of the day and the set menu for two. Both were great. Will be returning.
