Restaurant bewertenTo us, this was an off night at the SeaStar. It was a birthday celebration, but we didn't receive any acknowledgement after the initial greeting. The food was very good; a couple of us had king salmon which was slightly over cooked, but still good. We loved our appetizers, but we did not like that we weren't checked back on and ran out of butter and water with a couple of order mistakes. We've been to SeaStar many many times and it is always fantastic, but this time was a bit less so.
Good food and drinks. The menu was a bit overwhelming. I got the Bass and it was drowning in sauce almost like a soup.
Service in the bar area is very good and they take care to make great drinks. I take issue with the main restaurant and food. Automatic 20% service charges can backfire, as they do at Seastar. Service was sub-par and for a $400 meal, we expected not to have to flag our server down to order. The food is expensive and the kitchen hammered the shrimp and salmon. Do not ask for temperature on salmon, then bring it out overcooked and dry. The risotto was broken overcooked as well. Their sushi maki were prepared well and fresh.
Good food. Less crowded than in the past. Good service
The staff is so nice and accommodating. The Mahi mahi is the best! I’ve had it 6 years in a row during annual family visits.
