The Nest At The Chief Golf Course

Walked in and all of the staff had nasty faces, and very dry attitudes. We sat down to a paper saying the fryer was closed, (which apparently means half the menu is unavailable, and then we got our drinks. Cup looks like it hasn't been washed in weeks. Didn't even get food just left.

The atmosphere here is very clubhouse with lots of wood tones. A very warm environment. This is part of the Shanty Resort. Both people ordered the bbq pulled pork sandwich.the meat was very tender with lots of flavor and bbq sauce only added to the overall taste. The bun was good, good stability, without being too much. The fries were good, but not the star of the show. An unexpected challenger the coleslaw was truly excellent. The person I was with fully agreed on all counts. I could eat a bucket of that coleslaw. The service was a little slow, but very friendly. Everything was very clean. Overall a 4 1/2 stars that I'm rounding to 5. I will be back!

We went for the BBQ event on Saturday WOW is it delicious, some of the best barbacue we've ever had, including our experiences from down south. The plates are enormous with a ton of meat and while pricey it's definitely worth it. We ended up getting some to go! As far as their regular menu they have lots of options and it's pretty good, typical bar food. Service was good, although it was quite loud in the restaurant even with it not being full. We were in their larger room and it had a lot of echo.

Unfortunately, the new seafood dish was flavorless. It seemed like boiled pasta and other ingredients were just thrown together. We paid $25 and didn't eat the unappealing meal. The staff didn't seam to care that the dish was not good. This was a special family night and was very disappointing. We won't be returning. Slow service and bad food. Not recommended.
