Restaurant bewertenGreat food and quaint comfortable atmosphere. Friendly service with affordable prices on Taco Tuesday.
What an unexpected surprise! We found ourselves in Beaumont yesterday and a shop owner there recommended Frijoles because of the rotisserie chicken she'd had . We weren't really looking for Mexican food, just hungry for lunch after a meeting so we went. So surprised when we walked in- very cute place inside and friendly staff (and good A/C on a 97 degree day . We go to a lot of Mexican restaurants- we live about an hour from Beaumont and there are tons, but I have to say this was the most fresh and tasty Mexican food I've had in ages! Tasted very homemade- like grandma made it with lots of love and care. We got the Taco Salad and Frijoles Special burrito wet with red sauce. Most taco salads have all the stuff just plopped in a tostada bowl where it gets all mushed together. Theirs is so good! Perfect amounts of all the ingredients and you can taste each one- not mushy- chicken was amazing. Same with the burrito- yum! Great iced tea too: Will definitely go back if in the area!
Desperate to find a good burrito, we searched Yelp and came across this establishment. After reviewing the menu online we decided to give this place a try! We wanted a good asada burrito! online it showed decent pricing since we were buying a few we felt it was a great deal. As I approached the counter I was immediately by a sweet lady. The place seemed cleaned and mellow. I was a little thrown back by the different pricing of what there online menu shows, I know the lady taking my order didn't do it so I didn't make it a big stink but it did kind of make me feel a certain way.. so you should definitely update your menu pricing online. I paid, left. We ordered 2 Cali burritos and a asada burrito. The size was decent, the flavor was good, salsa chips were good as well.
This place has great food Like moms home cook meals , cannot say enough enough about staff I would say 10 stars , love This hidden restaurant, celebrated my bday and will be back another day, definitely will tell my family and friends about it.
Beaumont lacks diverse dining options, and Frijoles stands out as one of the better choices for a meal. While their portions are generous, I find the prices a bit steep. I typically enjoy dining in, but this time I opted for takeout. Some highlights from our order: The shrimp ceviche tostada were flavorful and well balanced, but unfortunately, the tostada got soggy on the 15 minute drive home. The shrimp cocktail was generously portioned and well seasoned; we added some Tapatio at home for an extra kick, but it was already tasty on its own. However, the carne asada street tacos were disappointing. The meat was dry and lacked flavor, relying heavily on the green sauce for taste. It was surprising to find subpar carne asada at a Mexican restaurant. Overall, we ordered five items, and the total exceeded $80. I was disappointed with the quality, especially since most of our order included carne asada, and all of it was dry.
