Restaurant bewertenUnfortunately, this restaurant has closed. It was a decent bakery and deli. A Subway restaurant opened next door, and although the owners were nice, Subway can never compare to a traditional deli. The sandwiches were good, but the store lacked character. Beacon Falls is a small town, and this place could have catered more to the local community. I wish they offered stuffed breads for holidays. It was disappointing to learn that the baking was done off-site in the Trumbull area. I would give it a 2.5 star rating, and it is sad to see a local business close. Hopefully, someone will open a small bakery with sandwiches in the area again.
You suck. I purchased a chocolate ganach cake for a dinner party, when I cut into it, it was blue and fuzzy in the center. I called the next morning and spoke to the owner, she was very rude, claiming that the cake was freshly made. I brought the moldy cake back to her and she refused to give my money back. She processed to tell me that she would give me a store credit. I called two weeks later to order a lemon cake, I picked up the cake in the afternoon went home to celebrate my friends bday, I cut into the cake and it was old tasting, like it sat in the fridge for weeks. I called the bakery and to this day, the very rude and unprofessional owner has yet to return my call. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS BAKERY! I hope she reads this review and she'll know who I am. BTW stop shop has better cakes!!!!
Not that good...Ordered a birthday cake for my nieces 12th birthday. I figured I would try them cause they are open on sundays so I can order saturday and pickup sunday. I live right down the street so really wanted to like this place due to convienence factors but affraid not. The cake was a 10' red velvet cake and it wasnt even, was totally crooked. That would even be ok if it tasted good but the cream cheese filling tasted like packaged cream cheese chunked in between. It was so thick and hard just not very good. The cake was heavy also not light and fluffy at all. Hate to leave a bad review but paid $35 i could have make one out of a box better and cheaper. Sadly, last time here.
We have gone here several times with no complaint. The service is always friendly and the pastries are always tasty. My wife and I went here to grab breakfast today and will not return again. We ordered breakfast sandwiches. While waiting for them to finish cooking we were looking into the cases and we saw a tray of potato salad that was covered in green furry mold. Immediately I brought it to the attention of the employee that was helping us because we were pretty grossed out at this point. She ensured us that there was parsley on it. I quickly let her know that it was in fact mold. She said she would take care of it. At that point our sandwiches came out and we left. We ate our sandwiches despite feeling grossed out about the mold. Both sandwiches lacked taste. We won't be returning again.
I had this bakery make our wedding cake and the service was friendly! The cake was incredibly beautiful and, most importantly, delicious! They make the cake from scratch using fresh and ripe fruits. We tried cakes from 3 different bakeries, but this one was the only one willing to accommodate our request for fresh fruit, whipped cream instead of frosting, and homemade. The owner even offered some great suggestions. We loved the cake so much that we bought a mini replica for our first wedding anniversary, and it was just as delicious and adorable! I highly recommend visiting this hidden gem in Beacon Falls.
