Restaurant bewertenIf you want excellent, home made Italian food then this a must stop. Great sandwiches, the best lasagna. Bought a tray for the family to take to the cottage. I make great decisions
It's been a little while but the food was fantastic and very generous portions. Fettuccine Alfredo mmm so good and veal or chicken parmasean to die for!
Casano's recently completed their relocation from Bayview Drive to new digs at 49 Anne Street South. The new location is decidedly a bare bones, industrial-type setting with painted cement block walls, exposed pipes, a single his and hers washroom, etc. Basic unadorned tables & chairs to fit the Spartan environment. You place your order at the counter when you enter and then the meals are delivered to your table on a tray. The menu is basically unchanged.... limited and very basic middle road... this is nor the place for finer, specialized Italian cuisines.Lunch Menu, served till 3:00 pm, consists of five pasta with sauce choices (plain, meatballs, sausage, veal cutlet, chicken), lasagna and a daily special. (The daily lunch special on my recent visit was Stuffed Pepper. Simple but tasty.) Prices range from $7.00 to $10.00. Add Mushrooms & Pepper for $1.50 Hot Sandwiches choices: Meatballs on a Bun, Sausages on a Bun, Veal Cutlet on a Bun, Veggie & Mozzarella Cheese on a Bun, Chicken Breast on a Bun. (All sandwiches come with Mushrooms, Peppers, Sauce & Parmigiana Cheese.) $7.00 A La Carte Menu served from 3:00 pm – 5:30 pm (close at 6:00 pm): Seven $10 entrees (Take home take $2 off)... Manicotti with Marinara Sauce: Tortellini with Ham, Mushrooms & Alfredo Sauce; Fettucini Alfredo; Cheese Ravioli with Marinara Sauce: Gnocchi with Alfredo or Bolognese Sauce; Spaghetti & Meatballs with Bolognese Sauce; Penne Primavera; Veal Parmigiana with Pasta and Marianara Sauce; Chicken Parmigiana with Pasta and Marinara Sauce. And last but not least, a couple of Salads for take out. Everything tastes pretty good. Portions are satisfactory. The prices are certainly reasonable. Hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. (Catering hours also include Saturday... all catering call the day before). No WiFi. Not LLBO licensed. Bottom line: Definitely NOT a “destination” or “special occasions” restaurant. Good for dropping in for an inexpensive basic hurry-up week-day meal when not in the mood for cooking... eat-in or take-home.
One of the best homemade pasta great veal on bun pepper & mushrooms for only 7 dollars..chicken on bun meat ball on bun ..Lasagna is 7 layers high with great sauce and veggie or meat ..so good hot table every day quick service ..daily specials
Terrific spot! Wasn't in the mood to cook dinner the other day, so my son and I took off in search of a good place for Chinese food - he was in the mood for
