Restaurant bewertenThis restaurant is very cheap for unlimited servings. Staff very nice although found it difficult to understand us being English. No matter we were able to order from the menu as it shows images of all the meals. Very quick service. Lovely meal and would visit again if in the vicinity.
We didn 't mean to eat Asian food in Barcelona, but decided to try something we are very familiar with. The big sign outside advertised €11.95 per person for a buffet, cheap! We popped in and found the staff friendly though they were Chinese, not Japanese. We confirmed with them several times that the buffet was indeed unlimited in servings and they said yes, pointing to the section (numbers 1 through 75) in the menu that the buffet price applied to. We tried several rounds of sashimi of salmon, tuna and what we think is a snapper, and all were fresh and good. For sushi, the rice tended to be more crumbly than sticky and had more vinegar than we were used to, but still tasted fine to us. The miso soup was on the watery side but the advantage is it wasn 't salty. The yakisoba was more Chinese fried noodles but otherwise was acceptable. The teriyaki chicken was crispy, though the sauce was not the same teriyaki we were accustomed to. We also tried their vegetables tempura, while the pieces could have done with more batter, they were again of acceptable standards. However, their warm sake didn 't quite pass my muster, though my spouse was less fussy. This was not included in the buffet price of course, but at €4.50, I could hardly expect more All in, €11.95 is such a reasonable price for the humble but filling buffet dinner we had, so I think again no one should expect top class Japanese cuisine at such rock bottom prices. Plus I realize that Asian food can acquire the local flavour of the city a particular restaurant is in, so I don 't mind for e.g. the teriyaki chicken tasting less teriyaki than I would expect. Tip- go for the buffet, as eating just 3 dishes or so from buffet items #1-75 in the menu would already exceed the buffet price.
