Waited around one hour as a walk in guest. The food was definitely worth the wait. We expected small portions, but we were amazed with how big the portions were ! Definitely explains the price ! The shrimps were gigantic, the crab omelette was full of crab meat and barely eggs !! Jay Fai cooks all the dishes herself. If you sit inside you’ll have the chance to see her cook all the dishes!

Excellent, as described. Advise to visit outside of busy times (google can show you when busy). We went at 11am and waited <10 mins, just put your name down as a walk in and watch the show whilst waiting. Crab omelette is big, enough for 2 people. $1,000 baht but well worth it.

Cons: it involves a long wait. pros: it was well worth it! the crab omelette is out of this world crispy egg roll with huge and delicious chunks of crab meat within. if you don't have a reservation, try arriving 30 mins before opening time and bring a book or fully charged device to keep you entertained as you wait. good things come to those who wait!

We signed up around 8:30am, came back to restaurant around 4:30pm. Definitely worth the wait and well deserved Michelin one star. Crab omelette is a must order, but the stir-fry curry prawn is beyond!! So tasty and fragrant.

Many have warned the long waits, high prices, and mediocre food at Jay Fai. Against them all, I decided to brave the negative reviews. Simply no regrets. Not many who visit revered restaurants can say that they have eaten food cooked by the named chef himself. This would be the first time myself for a restaurant after achieving a Michelin star, and I have paid way more for less greatness. To achieve such fame yet still insist to cook every dish herself, deserves all our respect. To Jay Fai, thank you for blessing the world with your cooking. I wish you the best of health and ความสุข. To manage expectations, I visited on a Friday, arrived at 8.15am (45mins before opening) and got a queue number of 27. They sat 11 tables the first seating. Our total waiting time was 3 hours to be seated and 4 hours for food from the time we arrived.
