Restaurant bewertenThe Restaurant<br/ <br/ In my time I’ve travelled to many places all over the world.<br/ <br/ While some stay as most beautiful and memorable on my mind,<br/ <br/ There’s a quiet restaurant in the old home city that I still hold <br/ <br/ As the best for friends to gather and share the hospitality we find.<br/ <br/ As evening shadow ushers in the night filled in by the day,<br/ <br/ The contemplation takes you further than what’s gone by. <br/ <br/ In laughter or silence it comes to rest on what’s said:<br/ <br/ Much is left in the wine, more than the friendship revived <br/ <br/ The young with the old were gathered there the other day <br/ <br/ To celebrate the Birth of peace and goodwill to all mankind <br/ <br/ In quietness least is known that we intercede in our prayers<br/ <br/ The turmoils and wars we’d seen inflicted to our same kind.<br/ <br/ Jaya Palace Restaurant is more than venue of its catering<br/ <br/ It’s a place for everyone to keep in the good company.<br/ <br/ While the food on the table is not pride as fine dinning <br/ <br/ There’s no apology for the years of friendship in harmony
Went for dinner. Food is good and nice ambient. When it is crowded you still can casually talk to each other without the need of shouting. Price also reasonable
Great place for dim sum. Egg tart and chicken feet are my favorites. The chicken feet was so soft, it slides off the bone. They are pretty generous with the beef brisket, lot of meat and tendon. Har gao skin was too brittle, breaks open so easily. The prawns in the har gao were very big and fresh. My new favourite is the crispy pumpkin cake. Need to call to book a day before for duck. The pecking duck was really good, thinly sliced skin serve with fresh ingredients and crackers. The duck was really oily though. Anyways, I really like the wrap! The rest of the duck can be cooked in different styles but we chose to just cut it up. I find the meat tasty but it was pretty tough. Its big enough to feed a table of 5. There's only 4 of us and we had dim sum earlier. Ordered one rack of the signature pork ribs. It takes 45 mins to prepare. Better to give a call before going there. We're given fork and knife but I was given a very dirty knife to eat the ribs. Damn gross, still have oily stains on it. Ribs come with a huge place of salad with roasted sesame sauces. The salad was really fresh and crunchy. The pork ribs were huge! It's tasty but the taste was very different. Chinese style beef ribs with a lot of spices, never had that before. I find it a little too salty. It's pretty tough and meat sticks to the bone. It definitely needs to be softer and tender till it falls off the bone like morganfields. The captain was extra attentive and gave us gloves too. Rm298 for those ribs, not really worth it because it wasn't soft and hard to eat.
