Restaurant bewertenThis place is truly a gem of Baltimore the real reason they call it charm city. The staff are welcoming, fun, and make great drinks. The music playlist is eclectic in a way that reminds you of your favorite hometown bar. The Crabs are (fight me if you wanna try to disagree) THE BEST cooked in all of Maryland. 10 out of 10. I travel to Baltimore regularly for work and NEVER skip this spot.
I wish I had read the reviews before coming here because the bad reviews are spot on with my experience. Before I go to any details, I will say the dozen medium crabs we got for $70 were delicious and not overly seasoned. That being said, the waitstaff is perplexingly deceptive about how long things will take just another min, it 's coming soon the crabs took over 1hr and 10 mins from when we ordered them. If you 're honest about how long things will take, people are less likely to hound you about where the food is. When we finally needed to leave, the crabs magically appeared. It would all make sense if it seemed like a busy place, but it looked they they had hardly any customers, so I have no idea why things would take so long unless they had to fish the crabs out of the Bay.The wings were a bit overdone, but hey they 're wings, so it was find.We got the Ahi Tuna entree, and I 've had this dish many times in many different restaurants in different states, and it always looks to be about dark pink if it 's rare, and brownish if it 's cooked. The tuna they served was orange, and very salmon tasting and flaked like salmon. When we asked if it was ahi tuna the server said it has always looked that since they worked there. I have never seen an orange tuna before, but I am not a tuna expert, so I can 't really say. While it was tasty, it felt deceptive. The meal was over pretty good, except it took way too long, and the service was very offputting enough that I wouldn 't go back or recommend it.
Stopped in while visiting the area. There was a drunk guy harassing me as soon as i got there. Service was bad. Bartender chose to eat while i had to wait extra time for a crab cake. Took 35 min to come out. It was a $28 deep fried ball. It wasn't that good. Crab soup had no flavor and had to hunt someone down to get salt n pepper since bartender was MIA and never asked me if everything was ok. There is no reason for me to recommend this place or come back for another visit.
Billing was not clear. Tip included (but not told) for party of 2... Waitress didn't mention just showed electronic bill. So extra tip at end?! Also crab prices not told
The oysters were very good. Crab cakes were also good. The steamed shrimp was poor. It was doused with old bay (far beyond expectations). This is a high priced tourist area so the place was expensive with better options in the area. Service was very weak.
