Restaurant bewertenIt was a very quiet evening with not much going on, but it seemed to be a slow night for the hotel in general. I didn’t mind, though, as it provided a nice and peaceful atmosphere for me to get some work done. I ordered the roasted chicken and was pleasantly surprised by the portion size; it was quite satisfying. My server, Juan, was very attentive and frequently checked in to see if I needed a refill and to ensure the food quality was up to par. For dessert, I tried the cookie sandwich, which features the hotel’s cookies—my personal favorites when I stay here. Overall, it’s a lovely place to visit for business travelers.
I should have read the reviews before visiting. My experience reflects much of what others have already mentioned. There were no hints that the restaurant would be subpar, but we went ahead and honored our reservation anyway. Our waiter, who appeared to also be the bartender—and possibly the cook—was very pleasant. Unfortunately, that was the only highlight of the visit. The wings were old, tough, and flavorless. The deviled eggs were unimaginative and simplistic. The shrimp and chicken pasta resembled a dish a 12-year-old might prepare and was completely lacking in seasoning. I ordered a medium-rare burger, but it arrived almost raw. The salad was wilted and unappetizing, but I could have overlooked that if the burger had been edible. We left feeling hungry and completely dissatisfied with the entire experience. Honestly, the best thing about this restaurant is its name; unfortunately, the experience does not live up to it. We definitely won’t be returning.
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. There were husks in the surf and turf dish and bits of shell in the crabs, while my date's water had hair in it. My meat was served cold, despite waiting about 20 minutes for our food. My date's piece of meat was completely raw and also cold. The ceviche was not really ceviche at all; it was just three cloves in a cup with some garnish. The rosé they served tasted like white wine. Overall, not a great experience.
Service was terrible. Ambiance bad. Bowl full of empty creamers on the table. Crab cakes tasted like mashed potatoes with maybe a half ounce of crab meat. Only thing good was soup and old bay wings. Never again. Oh, and $7 to valet park the car. Ridiculous.
There are much better places nearby to eat. I had family staying in the hotel, and we thought it would be convenient the evening they arrived. The restaurant was nearly empty, service was terrible, food was edible, but uninteresting, tasteless. I live nearby. It would be so nice for the neighborhood to have a good restaurant here!
