Mr. Tepaches

All the good reviews are fake. There are signs all over the restaurant saying they’ll give you a free drink for a good review. The service was bad, and the food was trash. It’s also insanely overpriced. $15 for 3 tacos that are falling apart and literally just has unseasoned microwaved chicken in it? Queso was worse than Tostito’s jarred stuff. Chips are like styrofoam. Quesadilla was fine I guess. Drinks are typical bad margarita mixes. Worst place I’ve been to in awhile. We were curious about this place when it first opened but saw it quickly get mediocre or bad reviews. We saw the reviews improved and gave it a shot. Pretty annoying they want to deceive customers like that. If you want Mexican just go to Papis for the vibe or to Taqueria el savor del parque/ cocina luchadores for the food.

Today I went to this place to have a good time and the girl with the man they served I asked her for a drink that they gave me 20 minutes later for a single drink, wtffff and they gave it to me only because I reminded them that I had ordered it, and at 11 I asked for an order of tacos, I only ordered 3 tacos and it took 40 minutes, that's crazy, I was thinking of ordering a tray of more tacos but if with 3 tacos it took 40 minutes I I couldn't imagine a tray of tacos. The tacos had a lot of salt, there was no cilantro the cucumber of the place seemed rotten after saying that my tacos were very salty they changed tacos saying that I didn't eat salt that's why I felt it and answered that I eat salt but not so much to the new tacos that changed me they didn't put salt on it and horrible I hope and many things change about the place that lacks respect, customer service .. If I could give 0 stars I would, bad service, nasty food, We order a birria ramen, that’s was raw, cold and oily, them cold tacos and over seasoned meat The waiter looked drunk or drugged, we ask for a drink and it took over 10 minutes to get it, and we were the only ones at the restaurant at the time I used to go before about every 2 eeeks and loved the birria tacos and the tepache Decepcionada de este lugar, era mi favorito y ahora se a vuelto una porquería

The cashier on the night shift 08/23/2024 charged me almost $20 for a tepache and the price on the menu says it costs $14. They charged me with a mandatory tip… terrible service… NOT RECOMMENDED DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! They rob you in the face

There was a previous review mentioning that all the 5-star reviews for this restaurant may be fake. After my visit, I can only say that this might be the most honest review you’ll find for this place. When we arrived, there was one person working in the front. She was bartending, taking orders, and trying to manage the entire place. We ordered two drinks, but only one arrived after waiting for 10 minutes. No water was offered or given, which seemed like a basic oversight. As for the food, we started with chips and pico de gallo, but what we got was a sad handful of chips in a small basket and mediocre pico. When I later looked at the bill and saw that the chips were $7, I had to say something. To their credit, they did take it off the bill. Unfortunately, this is about the only positive thing I can say. The half of our taco order that did come out looked outright disgusting. All the taco toppings were sitting out on a ‘serve yourself’ table with sour cream just sitting there, not even cold. We only discovered there was a topping station because we saw another table go get sauces, not because we were told. The meat on the tacos (chicken and beef) looked and tasted like it came straight out of a can. It was taco Tuesday, and even at $1.99, these tacos weren’t worth the price. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in recent memory. I wish I could say something more positive, but honestly, Mr. Tapeches is a huge letdown.
