The Carriage - Ballater

Visited for afternoon tea, and it was lovely as close to perfection as I've had in Aberdeenshire! Nice selection of sandwiches and a generous scone and cake patisserie platter. The scone plate had real clotted cream too fancy!! The tearoom itself is immaculately done out, and the waiting staff were spot on. It's a bit pricey, but I would highly recommend a visit.

The café has a charming atmosphere and excellent service, all at reasonable prices. It truly feels special with its royal connections. You can choose to sit next to a vintage train car or stroll through the old royal waiting room. Well done! I would recommend encouraging patrons to bring their dogs into the courtyard, as we noticed a few dog owners hesitated before deciding to go elsewhere.

I really enjoyed our visit to the Carriage Tea Room. The food was excellent, the china was lovely, and the atmosphere was delightful. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It’s definitely worth a visit! We're planning to go back for dinner tomorrow night!
