Restaurant bewertenNew to Ballarat, we'll go around the shops before we set up tea at the Capri Cafe in the morning. What an inspired choice. Great offer of food... fair prices... excellent quality and fast service. Staff friendly and efficient. Very recommended.
Ballarat on the first Sa of 2020 is still on Hols. I'm here for the day and only another café is open. I was there for Brekky. Capri is barely on the phone. The indifference in the kitchen is breathtaking, why open... if you hate to be here, do a lot? My waitress was excellent and apologetic, but paid $13,50 for a supermarket roll with four rocket pieces, a blow from what like Praise mayonnaise and 3 slices each of tomatoes and avocado is ridiculous. No butter. And in addition, they calculated $2.50 for REPLACING-Bacon with avocado. (Yes, that started life a regional Vic version of a BLT. Guys, it is not to replace if you make it from scratches AND four half width slices from half avo costs far less than bacon. Vegetarian caution, hardly any options, and these guys are vulnerable, greedy and uninterested in your experience. This is a “never” of me.
I wouldn't rush back here. It was very simple and didnt have anything that gave a wow factor. Coffee was good according to my partner. Bacon and egg rolls were average.
We called in to grab some lunch, I’m glad I didn’t have the time to read previous reviews otherwise I would have never gone in. The service was friendly and efficient and I had the steak sandwich with chips and it was delivered quickly to...our table and it was fantastic the meat was tender and juicy and the chips we fresh and hot. I could not fault it. Definitely come back
I really can't complain with the service it was friendly enough. Upon being seated in the carpeted area towards the back it appeared it hadn't seen a vacuum cleaner in quiet some time. The food wasn't terrible but not that special either. A little relish...or sauce would have went nicely with the frittata. It was a little bland. Also poor etiquette giving us our bill as we'd only started into our meal.
