Restaurant bewertenThe woman at the counter was awful! She shouted my number angrily at first, but then walked away before I could see what food I was supposed to pick up. Confused, I returned to my seat. Eventually, she called me again, even angrier than before. Be prepared to encounter this if you don't want to be disappointed.
This little cafe services the Ballarat Wildlife Park. It has good offerings and excellent coffee at fair prices. Pies, pasties, hot dogs and sandwiches can be bought here, with a few more offerings for those who want something more substantial! If they are really busy the cafe sometimes runs out of items, so get there earlier, rather than later on your visit!
The cafe is a necessary stop even for a cold drink on a hot day visit we stopped for a light lunch and found the food was hot and fresh and very reasonably priced. All served in paper so very takeaway though the staff were nice it would help them to draw attention to their gift tin as I offered a tip but the girl only shrugged... (I found it later). It was unpleasantly warm without ceiling fans the plastic shades should have been raised to let the breeze in we were sweating once we left and were glad to be outside...
Typical kiosk type food offering you'd expect at an attraction of this type. Certainly does offer some more quality options with coffee being good according to my partner. Very reasonably priced, don't expect it to be open for hot food later than your typical lunch hours it won't be! Certainly a reasonable option and if you're doing a visit over lunch I'd suggest it's a good option that warrants me not packing a picnic like I would at other more expensive places. Cleverly built with a gate and up on a deck to ensure the native wildlife does not tuck into your lunch!
During our trip to Ballarat Wildlife Park, we originally planned to bring our own lunch but ended up trying the café instead. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of food options available, especially since similar places often charge high prices. The menu included pies, sausage rolls, sandwiches, hot dogs, chips, toasties, coffee, milkshakes, and cold drinks. The prices were fair and the food was satisfying. As a family of 7, I would highly recommend the Brolga Cafe for a budget-friendly lunch option if you prefer not to bring your own.
