Restaurant bewertenDec2020. Also called 'Vineyard on Ballandean '. At the time of writing this review, it is open Fridays to Sundays. Reservations required by calling ahead of time. Recommend entering via Gianini Lane due to roadworks on New England Highway. We went here for an earlyish Friday dinner after making a reservation ahead of time that morning. Shared the prawns as entrees, which were beautifully grilled and matched perfectly with the fennel and citrus salad. For mains, we chose the sirloin (cooked medium-rare) and the peri-peri chicken (good charred flavour with spice), as well as a side of the corn with habanero, which was a special for the night and all delicious. Lisensed restaurant with wines including the locals, Mason, Bent Road and Robert Channon. Service was a little awkward, for example, our wine glasses sat empty from the end of entrees to the end of our meals. Reasonable prices. Casual ambience. Overall, gorgeous food but unfortunately stilted service.
Great place to stay. Great accommodation and atmosphere.
What a pleasant surprise on New England highway! Great, local, fresh food, generous portions and excellent service. Try home made beef patty for nom nom.
Went for lunch, simple food. The cottage grounds looked absolutely lovely.
Amazing food served quickly. The steak sandwich was absolutely amazing!
