Tamam Meyhane - Ayvalik

The atmosphere at this restaurant is delightful, offering seating inside a charming old stone building or outside in a picturesque laneway surrounded by flowers. The menu is available in both English and Turkish, with clear markers for vegetarian and vegan options. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We spent a leisurely few hours here, enjoying the ambiance of the laneway and observing the local cats.

We visited the restaurant on a day when they were only offering a fixed menu without any vegan options. Despite this, they were kind enough to make an exception for us since we had traveled a long distance. They even treated us to a few complimentary dishes, and we ended up paying only 121 TL for a complete dinner for two people.

It was rainy and a bit cold, but tamam provided the sanctuary we were seeking, all in a charming stone building with a wood-burning stove. The waitstaff understood what vegan meant and were able to recommend delicious vegan dishes (mostly cold mezze). The restaurant was quiet during our visit, but I imagine it would be bustling in the summer. The atmosphere was lovely, the mezze delicious, and the waitstaff friendly. We would definitely return. The prices were quite reasonable, ranging from 9 to 24 TL per mezze dish.
