Restaurant bewertenThe servers warned us ahead of time that the Awesome Onion Blossom couldn't be served as advertised because there were no large enough onions available. We decided to go for it anyway, and the reward was well worth it. Piles of onion strands are hand dredged in a surprisingly spicy, peppery batter in a similar way to fish shop scraps. This truly awesome blossom is easily enough to share. In our case it made up our entire dinner, complete with a yummy side salad. As we explained our onion ring experiment at the till though we learned that this location of Roo's has unfortunately been sold and will soon close. Definitely a memorable onion experience.
Recommended to book a table as it was full on a rainy Wednesday night but still was seated within 30 mins of phoning. There was 4 of us, each with different dietary requirements but the waiter taking our order was brilliant. Wrote down everything we asked for without getting annoyed or flustered and the food all came out perfect and in surprisingly good time given it was so busy. I had chicken satay which had a bit of a kick to it, mum had a western burger which gets 3 onion rings inside also, mum's friend had a burrito and my sister had fajitas..... all were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing and with very decent portions some of us had to take the rest home which they were very happy to accommodate. A regular visitor here, we have always enjoyed our meals at roos leap. A definite and deserved 5 stars!!!!
