Restaurant bewertenExcellent pre theater dinner near the Long Center. The lamb entree and the ribeye special were very tasty, both perfectly cooked. It was hard not to lick the plate! We had to have dessert the flourless chocolate cake was to die for... it was almost too rich to finish (almost! . The waiter was very good friendly and attentive. We'll go back!
We enjoyed the ambiance and location was right across the street from the Long Center where we were attending the ballet so that was great. We were a few minutes late for our reservation due to traffic and they were happy to accommodate our party of 6. The food was good, not great but good. Our waiter was okay. We debated ordering dessert because of time restraints and our waiter assured us it would take no more than five minutes to get it. Well I’m not sure what his five minutes looks like but it definitely doesn’t look like my five minutes. Thankfully we weren’t late.... I would consider visiting here again if we attend another event in the area. It was nice to be able to carry on a conversation with members of our party and actually hear what they were saying.
Zax is pretty consistent and has a nice variety on the menu and decent wine list.
Mussels and polenta appetizers were delicious! Great variety on the menu to appeal to foodies, kids and elders. Service was good, meals were excellent and the restaurant was a bit quiet for a Friday evening . We had the scallops, evening special of black drum fish and crab louie salad paired with wine and cocktails. It was a very nice dinner and we enjoyed the evening at Zax.
