Whataburger - Austin

During our visit on September 25, 2022, at 10:30 PM, the manager was extremely rude. The sandwich we received had barely any sauce, and when I asked for ketchup, the manager had an attitude. It's just ketchup! Is it coming out of your paycheck or something? There was really no need for such rudeness!

This Whataburger location offers disappointing food. My friend Mia placed my order using her Whataburger app. The salad was stale and poorly presented; it actually arrived upside down in the bag. I also ordered an apple pie but never received it. When I tried to call the restaurant, the phone rang for a minute and a half before the call was cut off.

I was incredibly disappointed after so many years of this Whataburger location being my favorite. I stopped in to place an order and use the restroom, but found it to be filthy, overcrowded with toilet paper, lacking paper towels, and overall dirty. I happened to enter right after one of the employees had used it. After I left the restroom, I approached the counter to speak with the manager. A curvy Hispanic woman came over, and when I expressed my concerns, she shrugged her shoulders and said, “We’ll get to it when we can” (exact words). How can employees properly wash their hands and prepare our food in such conditions? If the restroom is unclean and there’s no way to wash and dry your hands, I definitely don’t want anyone with dirty hands preparing meals for my family and me. I’m not that desperate.

Located in the vibrant heart of a beautifully healthy city, the breakfast was absolutely perfect! Thank you so much, WHATABURGER!

Fast food isn't usually my area of expertise, and I want to clarify that this review is focused on the franchise as a whole rather than a specific location. That said, coming from a place without a Whataburger, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here. Let's face it—sometimes you're craving something indulgent, like what you find at the golden arches or the Bell. They definitely satisfy that craving! However, if you need something quick but want to elevate your meal a bit, Whataburger is an excellent choice. They offer unique options like patty melts, mushroom burgers, and the popular Hatch chili burger. While their chicken offerings are not as standout, the burgers are of higher quality compared to other drive-thrus and are reasonably priced, making Whataburger a great option for a little fast food treat.
