Restaurant bewertenAnat Greenstone has the best lamb shwarma in Johannesburg. I really enjoy the vibe sitting in their seating area away from all the shoppers. I think next time I will definitely be trying their falafel wrap. Mouth watering stuff!
You cant go wrong with Anat! They always have a selection of fresh ingredients to choose from. You make your own shwarma/pita by choosing the protein, veg, toppings and sauce. The husband and I frequent here to enjoy our favorite, the chicken shwarma with hummus, tomatoes, chilli sauce (warning-not for the feint hearted, its not 'white-people ' hot, its insanely hot! but very good! The best thing I love about the ingredients are the fried eggplant! I wish I could buy them separately to take home, they are that good! Even if you don 't like eggplant, try one, you 'll love it! Chips are also good, and a full shwarma might be a bit much if you aren 't starving. I usually get the full one and take home half to oven heat enjoy later. Get a coke or three if you dare to try the chilli! :
This place has the best slap chips ever. Very tasty. Definitely a treat once in a while. Burgers at good prices and also very tasty. The pitas are also great.
This is a great place to get a quick on-the-go meal. The ingredients used are really fresh and their fries are crispy and just the way I like it (with a variety of spices that you may like . The shwarma is the best in town, I find the beef shwarma to be the most economical, the lamb one is ok but beef or chicken is the best, the vegetable ingredients that you may add onto the shwarma varies from sliced jalapenos to shredded cabbage to salsa radish and even fried up aubergines (egg plant , you may add Tsatsiki , humus and even chili sauces to spice things up. So if you shopping at Greenstone and you want a quick on-the-go meal.. grab a shwarma. (Vegetarians are also looked after with Falafels
Best Anat branch I 've been to. As far as vegan takeaways go, Anat trumps most. The falafel is consistently delicious and satisfying and the fact that they are encouraging 'Meat Free Monday ' by reducing the price of these puts a feather in their cap for me will happily support someone with that kind of initiative! Service is perfectly good and all their ingredients look and taste freshly made.
