The French Cafe - Auckland

I rarely give 5-star reviews, but this restaurant definitely deserves it. I can confidently say that I had the best food of my life here. I visited this place for my partner's birthday over the weekend and we enjoyed a 4-course meal with a variety of dishes for each course. In addition to the four courses, we also received delicious little tasting "snacks" between courses. The service was exceptional, with detailed explanations of where the ingredients were sourced from. We ordered scampi, king fish, duck, beef with truffles, miso, and chocolate hazelnut dishes. The highlight for me was the duck, which was absolutely amazing - I will definitely be returning for more. The cheese platter was also excellent, with a delicious selection of cheeses. We also enjoyed some champagne, which was of high quality. Overall, the experience was worth the price and I would love to dine here again.

I have wanted to goto the French Cafe for a number of years and tonight my number was up. <br/ <br/ Absolutely divine tasting menu. Enjoyed every single thing. <br/ <br/ Very populated wine list. Beer and wine less so.<br/ <br/ Great staff fantastic venue

I recently tried the new delivery service at this restaurant and I am so glad I did because the food was absolutely amazing. Every dish was delicious and exceeded my expectations. The photos on the website didn't do justice to the actual presentation of the food (I am not very good at plating). I specially loved the mushroom and truffle lasagna, it was fantastic! The delivery person was also very friendly and the food arrived right on time. I will definitely be ordering from this restaurant again soon.

This would have to be one of the best restaurants in New Zealand. Yes it’s pricey but worth every cent. The food is exquisite from start to end. Service is also topNotch. Love it!

I’m so thankful to be able to experience and taste Chef Sid’s carefully crafted menu.Each dish that came out seemed to cleverly caress our senses in their own unique way through its colours, textures, smells and presentation. @sidatthefrenchcafe is another showcase of Chef Sid’s talent and ingenuity in New Zealand’s fine dining scene.
