Arigato Sushi - Auburn

Sushi tasted great, the food was awesome. Honestly though, the music is completely out of place and I expected the food to be terrible because of it. Lots of Japanese decor outside, great looking restaurant, and blasting country music like a backwoods bar. It’s incredibly distracting, and makes no sense at all for a restaurant with such good food. I don’t go to an Italian restaurant blasting rap or kid rock. Mexican place going hard on hip-hop? Pizza place playing 18th century polish music. Burger bar blasting out some ska. Cmon guys. Your place looks and tastes amazing, fix the music.

Good food! We got a california roll and hibachi chicken. Tons of food for the price, and it tasted great. I would like to have had more vegetables with the hibachi, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. Service was awesome.Food: 5/5

Sushi hero is TERRIBLE. It’s probably going to fail in a matter of months. There were about 8 people working on a Thursday evening when I went and there were even fewer customers.The server was the only one doing anything. Everyone else was just standing around talking and joking. While the server was the only one really working, they were forgetful and disorganized. The other workers behind the bar patronized her when she made a mistake about the menu to us.The food came out tremendously slow, which I can’t understand because it was all sushi, there were at least 5 people behind the bar and sushi bar, and they didn’t even need to COOK anything. The rice was terrible. It was dry, hard, and didn’t stick together. Everything tasted bland. It was flavorless, tasteless, and boring.Don’t waste your time with this place. If I were to guess, you won’t have to. Willing to bet it’ll be closed in 6 months. Maybe less.

Love the new menu with many sushi roll selections to try! Tonight we got the (Lobster Deluxe Roll, and Jim Beam Roll) Sashimi, Special Vegan Roll, plus some outstanding shrimp/salmon, lobster hibachi. They do have several vegan options too, which my friend got. It’s recently been remodeled, so we enjoyed the fresh newness of everything. We had six of us, and the service was on point, and very friendly, attentive, and patient with all our questions we had. We’ll definitely be returning real soon! The place feels really upscale now. I can’t wait come back and try more sushi. There were so many options on the new menu! Bring your appetiteFood: 5/5
