Restaurant bewertenVisited Big Gilley’s for the first time today. Best brisket I’ve had in a long, long time. Would recommend ordering it “moist”. Wife had the baked potato with pulled pork. Also very good. Both best without sauce but the house sauce was deliciousa little bit of heat, not too sweet. Servers were great and friendly too. Building's not fancy but is homey and comfortable. Will be back. Need to try non bbq offerings, especially fried chicken on Thursdays. Kid friendliness: Crowd was a cross section workers, retirees, couples and families with kids.

This makes me sad to write because we LOVE the BBQ. This was our first visit to the new diner. No BBQ on Sunday which is ok we just didn't know. We ordered an order of fried pickles which said in the menu they were pickle chips. When they were brought to us they were pickle spears. I would not have ordered them if I had known this knowing I don't like the spears. My husband and I both ordered chicken fried steak. The steak was like Sisco steak and wasn't good at all. My fries were over cooked. They asked if we wanted onion and we told them yes. They brought out MAYBE 2 slivers of onions in a bowl. We had to ask for our toast that came with our meal, and it didn't come out until we were both done eating. The waitress came over 1 time to refill our drinks and check on us but we were already done eating. Just overall sad and not impressed.
