Tucker's Restaurant Ltd. - Armstrong

Lovely family-owned restaurant. Very friendly people, great food. Their story is one that will pull the heartstrings.

As I'm not a fan of shredded breakfast potatoes, it was not going to end well for Tucker's. I had the standard two eggs, toast, sausage and potato breakfast and it was served quickly and it was hot... always a good thing. I was disappointed that the potatoes were shredded instead of pan-fried. Coffee was OK. Service was good. There's a nice buzz in the place. Small enough to feel cozy but large enough so you're not claustrophobic. If I was again in Armstrong for breakfast I'd go back.

I have had the pleasure of eating at Tucker's twice in the past 10 days. The first visit was breakfast and the second time was lunch. I had the triple Bacon & Cheddar Eggs Benny with stuffed hash browns. The meal was fantastic and probably the best I have had in a long time. Great value too! For the lunch visit I had the Clubhouse sandwich with fries. I was not as impressed as I was with the Benny. It simply comes down to using real mayonnaise or some other spread like Miracle Whip. This had the latter and it truly makes or breaks the sandwich. You have to use REAL mayonnaise. If this was the case this would have been a great sandwich. Unfortunately it was mediocre at best. That said this place has great food and wonderful prices. I will be back!!!

My husband and I were under the weather tonight to instead of going out on our date night we ordered take home dinners from Tuckers. I enjoyed the Veal Cutlets SO much and my husband's favorite dish there is Turkey Dinner, always fresh and tender! The veggies were, crisp, HOT and flavourful!! Very Impressed! Never get tired of this place!
