Restaurant bewertenThe atmosphere was so beautiful, saburo or sabu chan is a beautiful dog that simply likes to be pet. and he has no problems to be nice to donut (with permission) get. the owner is one of the most friendly people and she creates an amazing atmosphere and simply amazing eating. my friend and I have sworn it in no time, you can say that she loves to eat her. yes, they have to make a reservation, but I informed them the day before our departure and we had no problems. she answered on facebook in English. I don't know any japaners and I didn't have any problems with booking and talking to them. I think everyone should experience this beautiful place with the beautiful owner and sabu chan.
I was close so I came by, but there was a dog and was closed the owner dame came out that she needs reservation. so it is not like a regular restaurant or caffe they have a reservation!
My partner, I decided to go after cobe on a day when we had planned to go after cobe and I am so glad that we did it! As suggested by happier kuh, we contacted hisami through facebook in English to make a reservation for the nabana lunch two days before and we got a quick answer. when we arrived, we were greeted by hisami and her beautiful 13yr old dog saburo and welcomed in the cute grateful warm restaurant in a small street not too far from the railway station. the food we were served was delicious, thoughtful and many of them from homemade ingredients. hisami showed us the shoyu that makes them with the help of the neighbor and a local builder. we had a beautiful coffee and dessert and were shown a beautiful homemade kimono and had a nice chat with hisami. there were obviously many pats with saburo or sabu and he even got a few pieces donut as hisami assures us, it's okay because they are made out tofu. delicious. many thanks to hisami that they are so welcoming and show us their wonderful products and fantastic meals. we will see again
We had a great time to eat here. hisami was so friendly and wonderful, she made us a tasty lunch and showed us some of the ingredients she used, and taught us about the process of making her own shoyu (she took us outside to show us where it was made to meet another highlight (and share some donut with) saburo, the owner sweet old dog. if you want to go to lunch, it was very easy to contact hisami via facebook to make a reservation.
The atmosphere at this restaurant is stunning. Saburo, or Sabu Chan, is a beautiful dog who loves to be pet and is not shy about using his sweetness to get a treat (with permission, of course). The owner is incredibly friendly and creates a fantastic dining experience. My friend and I were able to make a reservation with no issues, despite needing to do so in advance. The owner even responded to our messages in English. Even though we don't speak Japanese, we had no trouble communicating and booking. Everyone should visit this lovely place and meet the charming owner and Sabu Chan.
