Mrs Grove's Pastries - Altoona

Being from out of town you never know where to find great pastry. This was the first place I came across on the old interweave and I have to say my search is over. I was greeted with smiling faces, had a wonderful conversation and was able to enjoy some of the best pastries that I have ever tried. Thank you ladies and I will definitely return.

This place has been in business forever making the best home style pastures and goodies of the best quality and fair prices! I was worried when the latest generation took over but they have made some improvements (finally accept cards! and the quality and price have not changed! They need to be open more often though.. a couple of days a week doesn’t let more people experience this gen!!

Bobby flay said that one of the best food I ever had was the sticky buns at flour bakery in Boston. I have been to flour bakery in Boston many times. I see the sticky buns at Mrs. Groves pastries are incredible. I hate to compare places. Everyplace is special on its own. The ladies here are so super sweet. They are a reason to come and visit. They’re open only Friday Saturday and Sunday. Absolutely worth it.
