Restaurant bewertenThe WORST PIZZA ever. Ordered 2 pies for delivery. Small white pizza with no tomatoes and peppers, just sausage and garlic. Received peppers and tomatoes and no garlic. Ordered large sausage pie with light sauce and garlic, crisp. Received limp pie, no garlic. Even the toaster oven couldn't crisp it up. Bad afternoon? Not sure but no more chances.
I love these hole in the wall eateries. Great food, amazing atmosphere, and lovely staff. If you are in the city, you need to stop by and try a slice. Parking: Park around the street
Steve and the crew that work there are very nice very welcoming and they do like the Steelers LOL my boyfriend told them they should have some Buffalo Bills memorabilia LOL (I'm pretty sure the gentleman that was cleaning the table did not like that, but he was gracious about it) ? I got the chicken fingers and french fries, now I don't know about y'all but I do like the bar french fries and that's how their french fries were yummy! My boyfriend had mild wings and a cold Italian sub 14 inch the size of those wings wow they are big! And pretty safe to say they are priced cheaper then most places in Altoona. And sadly they do not make their own bread... but they do use pacifico's.. no photos I forgot my phone in the truck bummer.. we will definitely go back! Dietary restrictions: They do have salads and cold and hot subs however they do have a lot of tempting fried foods so yeah I wouldn't go there if I had dietary restrictions Parking: This place is on 29th Street it's on the corner so you have any of those streets on the side we're in front or across the street etc..not bad..
Stopped to try the Altoona pizza and tried a regular pepperoni slice. I liked the Altoona slice but would prefer it without green peppers. The regular pepperoni slice was very good.
Take your business to Als or Front Street Deli. Home from out of state and thought about Altoona pizza and subs the entire 8 hour drive—this place really let me down. Called last Thursday at 4:30p and whoever answered the phone wanted me to list everything that I wanted on my mom’s cheesesteak. Trusting they can make a great sandwich, I responded by saying “whatever comes on it, but no onions.” The employee insisted I list each individual ingredient and when I approached my mom to require she answer, he told me to “call back when you are ready” and hung up on me!! Unnecessarily complicated for a simple sandwich and extremely rude. If you’re busy, why not just make a cheesesteak with no onions as requested? If you’re not, why not wait for the response that you insisted on?
