Sumo San - Almaty

Very nice, cozy. we went there 4 times during the stay in the city and were never disappointed. btw sushi came in a cool boot. my fav was as simple as chuka salat and cocktail Japanese flower.

Food was very good, nice atmosphere. Only downside it was a bomber quite expensive

One of my favourite places in Almaty. The food is so tasty that I always visit it when I'm in city. Love the place.

I thought it was great. I had read several reviews before going so I knew to expect the place to be expensive. To be honest, it wasn't terribly expensive, and it was worth the price. Most places around here that serve sushi are little more than fast food joints. Pizza and sushi! A huge glob of cream cheese, some cheap rice, and a thin slice of fish, but this place was different. The sushi was good. The service was also good and the place was clean. Those two things are always important to me. They also try to make it look like you're in Japan. That makes it cute. I'll definitely be going back some time.

I saw the ramen flag outside so hoping to get some ramen entered the restaurant but found no ramen;; or there was so much in the menu that didn't find my ramen : The only reason I rate this. Raw sushi is expensive but good and other dishes are enjoyable and moderately priced.
