Restaurant bewertenStayed as part of a Buy a Gift deal. So at least we did not pay for it. Very basic, dinner and drink o'k, lady serving was good. Room very basic, shower rubbish, followed instructions from staff but nothing happened. When to look for staff 8.30 ish no one!!!! shower started on it's own, red hot !! Breakfast in cupboard with blackboard above to tell you whats where!! A none starter and up for sale. I will say no more
Upon arrival, the restaurant appears charming and maintains its quaint village pub exterior. The bar area is cozy and inviting, with clean and spacious rooms. The staff are pleasant and the food is delicious. The only drawback was the noise from other patrons late into the night.
When considering value, the price must be considered. Priced at £30 per night, the only drawback is the absence of cask ale and single malt whiskeys. The rooms are spotless and the shower is strong. Additionally, there is a spacious car park available.
I spent the night at this place and had a wonderful experience. The owner is welcoming and friendly. The restaurant serves delicious food. There is a local pub downstairs where I found the patrons to be sociable and engaging. The room I stayed in was comfortable, and I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of a 4 poster bed. Overall, this place is a hidden gem for those who prefer a traditional atmosphere over a more impersonal experience.
Myself, my partner and our 7 month old have just got back from a weekend stay here. It was awful, there was zero hospitality no welcome what so ever, no information about our stay. The ' contintenial self serve breakfast ' was absolutely disgraceful! There was a bowl of cling film wrapped brioche the type I buy my kids for packed lunch) and cling film wrapped croissants and they were both as solid as rocks. A few oranges, no boiling water available for hot drinks oh and 2x packs of single weetabix. That was it, and to top it off not a person in sight to ask for things. Appalling! Our room upon first look was Ok, nice big bed, with a further 2 single beds. That 's the only good thing I can say. There was a bedside lamp with no bulb?! A random shelf hidden under the bed. And a very loose shelf that is about to fall off the wall at the other side of the bed. The shower was horrific, you either have it boiling hot or freezing cold. The shower screen was glue to the bath which was covered in mould and The bathroom window sill was also covered in mould. The only people we saw was the barman who was serving when we arrived and then a bar lady serving when we went out on the second night. That was it. No hello 's, no 'is everything ok ' no 'Thank you and goodbye ' It was as if we had just been given a key to a room and that was it. This place needs yo seriously consider how it treats they 're guests, What they offer they 're guests, and how comfortable they 're guests feel staying at they 're so called b&b.
