Kowloon Chinese Take Away - Allerdale

We placed an online order a few days in advance, which was quick and easy to do. The menu is extensive and reasonably priced. One unique aspect is that you can choose different sides instead of the typical rice or chips. I opted for salt and pepper chips as my side, which was cheaper than buying a separate portion. The food was ready at the specified time and there are a few parking spaces outside, which is convenient. While the food was enjoyable, it may not have been as good as it was in the past, but we haven't dined there in about 10 years.

I really enjoy the food from Kowloon, but their delivery service is terrible. The typical wait time to pick up your order is 15 minutes longer than they tell you. Tonight, I waited for 25 minutes past my scheduled pick-up time. It took a total of 1 hour and 10 minutes from the time I placed my order to actually receiving my food, even though the shop wasn't very busy. It's a joke!

I ordered the prawn sweet and sour with chips. The chips appeared to have been sitting out for a while. Everything was greasy and there was only one piece of pineapple in the sauce. I returned it and even showed the owner a soggy prawn batter piece. I will not be returning. They claimed that one piece of pineapple was standard and charged 10 pounds for it.

Lovely food red hot chips amazing never tasted chips like them before in my life and the rest of the meal was delicious go there again and again 20 out 20

Literally loads of staff but as soon as there is a slight queue all the wheels come off. Orders missing food … wait times crazy! That said the Chinese food is excellent. The chip shop side of things isn’t great
