Restaurant bewertenWe enjoyed the food and the atmosphere very much. We went twice in our two weeks in the Algarve. The rice with seafood was excellent.
We stopped for dinner while we were in Portugal. The food was good but not exceptional and the service was attentive. The decor was quite appealing. The big negative was the kind of sound in the dining room, as we could hear every word spoken by the diners at the big table at the opposite end of the room. The stone stairs from the parking lot to the restaurant also require some caution in the dark.
Not only was this the best restaurant we visited whilst in Portugal, I think it could rate up there as one of my top restaurants ever. Everything was perfect, the out of the way location in a quaint building, the service, amazing mouth-watering food, one of the best steaks I've ever had. And the creme brulee was to die for!
Ideal setting, food to die for, and friendly attentive English speaking staff, great choice of wines and spirits also. Would highly recommend visiting this restaurant again. It was sad to learn that Chef Antonio has passed, but the kitchen has been left to his son Simione, and I can say that he has inherited his father's culinary skills. The food was excellent and, as usual, served with a smile by the waiting staff. This establishment is so worth a visit if you have a chance to get here.
Authentic Portuguese restaurant. Lovely staff and beautiful location. Food was excellent and the fish was super fresh.
