Restaurant bewertenFabulous, as usual good authentic eating, friendly service, fun entertainment (belly dancing.)
With my wife. it fits perfectly with our idea of a family-run Moroccan restaurants in the style of alameda. eating was great, atmosphere was Alameda-fam style, that is the opposite of pretentious. only warm, friendly, casual, chill, simple, tasty and fun.
Love this place prix fixe for Sat. night dinner w/ belly dancer a great deal. Also, terrific for lunch weekdays quiet, great view and really good food.
My husband found this place on the Net we were looking for a local place for date. Saturday is the only day that Abigail's serves dinner. As soon as the reservation was made, I got a call from the Owner and he told me we can bring our own wine, since they do not serve alcohol. We went in with an open mind, not knowing what to expect. They served a fixed price dinner on Saturday, with a couple of entree choices. The food was very tasty, authentic, and good. The owners were very personable. And they had belly dancing on Saturday night, with customer participation. I joined in, and had a great time. The only thing, I think, can improve the dining experience there is to have some flat bread with the dinner. It was more like eating at someone's home than at a restaurant the couple in charge made us feel welcome and were very attentive. We definitely will be back for some more authentic Moroccan food!
This was an interesting find for something different to do. We never knew this place existed. It was very quiet and in a very different part of Alameda along the water. Only 2 other tables besides ours on a Saturday night. This was a true family restaurant with very friendly owners and their young daughter, whom the restaurant was named after. The woman cooks all the food herself and the husband visits with guests.... he liked to tell each man who came in what actor they look like! There was a belly dancer toward the end of our meal with a great show. She had guests from each table come up to dance with her separately. My husband and I had fun. Very intimate and homey feel. The food was very homemade tasting and the cookies for dessert and sweet mint tea were amazing. Was a little awkward at first and quiet but by the end of the night, we had had a great time. Only downfall is that the building seems a little old and outdated and smelled a little like smoke.
