Restaurant bewertenDelicious food. Very good waiter, efficient. Place is old, but rustic.
Good quality food at fair prices. Casual surroundings. Clear soup is good and a nice change of miso. Well-kept cabbage side had no taste. I looked like annoyed cabbage. Saba was a good part. A whole fish. To eat a choir. Although the grill taste and the crispy skin was very beautiful. Rice was too sticky. Not overtaken, but overly soft in places like it by stirring or something. Very friendly staff and good service.
Our review of Kabuki Restaurant Waimalu Shopping Center. Kabuki Restaurant is a step back to time. Where culture and tradition is Alive and Well. Traditional Japanese dishes are excellent tradition in time. No shortcuts. The taste of good is Authentic. Prices are reasonable. We ordered Shrimp Tenpura Donburi Bowl, Miso Butterfish Teishoku. My Teishoku was Excellent Chawanmushi (classical and difficult to find, not many Japanese restaurants make this more. But it's a treasure. Sashimi, salad salad, simmered pumpkin, green tea. The Shrimp Tenpura Donburi of my wife is on a bed of Rice, with Miso Soup and a traditional Tenpura Dipping Sauce with Grated Daikon, which is so authentic. For dessert we had Strawberry Shave Ice with Vanilla Ice Cream and Azuki beans. We had a wonderful time at Kabuki Restaurant and You Will Too. Hugs Wes n Wanda Anzai? Mililani Hawaii 5 2022
So let's get the professionals first: Our server was the sweetest lady we've ever met. Very knowledgeable with the menu, gave good recommendations and got our food out in time. The only problem we had with the server was after we had finished eating, she never came back to give us our check. Where the contrasts come from: A gentleman (who I heard was the owner) who sat us, went by and I kindly chased him down and asked if we could wait after 20 minutes. The man gave us an annoying look, put his hands up and said in an aggressive voice? I don't have your check!? And left. He came back after a minute and asked? Who was your waiter? After he had explained how our waitress looked, he cried on her and gave her attitude. That was a shock for me and my family! I've never seen that before. Usually, when I'm in other restaurants and the waiter takes a long time to ask if we?re ready for the check, I'll ask a worker by and they'll kindly say?so sorry about that, let me get your waiter?. I have never experienced such a rude reaction. Not only this man, but as our waitress helped other tables, other employees would go past her and make rude comments. I've never been so uncomfortable. I DO NOT recommend Kabuki and will not return! Worst experience ever!
I had not been here since the early 1990s but decided wanted to enjoy dinner here. Well the place was kinda run down to be honest. It needs a full make over for sure. The tables were really clean and seats seemed to be redone so it was good seating. They have full plexiglass barriers at every booth for covid safety as well. But they had restaurant supplies piled up where you could see them which is an easy fix to me. But let's get to the food... we had Shrimp Tempura and sashimi. I love my shrimp tempura and it was good. I can say I would enjoy it again if the placed got a face lift. I did enjoy the Japanese kabuki music that plays in the background as you enjoy your meal. Makes you feel more at home.
