Restaurant bewertenWe had breakfast at Public yesterday which had an amazing selection of sweet treats but I’m frankly surprised served me powered chai. My dish itself was a little cold, I had the avocado which was topped with kraut and fennel and two poached eggs. Kind of a random combo I thought but I suppose we have to applaud the creativity. The menu has some very tempting dishes but they were too sweet and heavy for a weekday
Food: Eggs Benedict was delicious. I thought it paired well with the ham hock. French toast though, was tough we could hardly tear it apart with the cutlery. Very very good coffee. <br/ <br/ Service: Friendly.
My boyfriend was nagging me to come here for months because he comes regularly with work so I thought it couldn't have been that good but I'm definitely glad that I finally did! Exceeded my expectations it was amazing!
The nice space and fit out attracted me to this place when I passed by earlier in the morning. Experience itself was a bit patching. The service and staff were functional at best and my tea was a pot of hot water and a tea bag. I ordered a berry smoothie to start which was very nice. Generous serve and neither sweet nor tart. The hot cake for breakfast itself was spectacular looking and very tasty. Thick light and fluffy and covered in a variety of toppings it was so huge it defeated me! That’s a rare thing. Very impressive array of pastries and treats in the cabinet too which didn’t go unnoticed when placing my order. Food was highlight for my visit at Public so kudos to the kitchen.
I've always been a fan of PUBLIC due to it's spacious and airy setting and fancy brunch food. The place is quiet large with it's high ceilings, lots of natural lighting from the open glass front and industrial decor. Their menu offers extravagant and interesting breakfast and lunch items such as Blood Sausage, Duck Leg Crouquettes and Sriracha Brioche. I have played it on the safe side trying their burgers and Banana Bread French Toast both which I highly recommend. Food is presented beautifully, although portions are on the smaller side. Also, being in town, it is usually full of business people on morning or lunch meetings. Staff have always been friendly.Only downside is city parking is expensive and hard to find if you're purely just going to the restaurant.
