Restaurant bewertenWe found this spot last year while visiting from the UK and came back again this year the softest nicest bau ever with great tasty fillings just a great little spot to grab some food on the go kimchi rice balls also great service always been friendly and we will be back for sure
Looking at the other reviews, I'm so confused why people are giving this place 4 stars it's a definite 5 star! It's run by a lady who is really friendly I think she's the owner so it's a true small business in the heart of Adelaide. She works so hard and her product is amazing! My go to is the pork rice box. The service is friendly and prompt (never have to wait long) and the location is convenient (right around the corner from my office). Definitely recommend as a place to pick something up quickly for lunch. It's also nice to think that I'm supporting a small business with an owner who is passionate about what she does.
I love their KFC Korean Fried Chicken bao. The bun is soft and filling is tasty. They also have lotus chips which you 'll hardly find anywhere else. Good lunch option.
Mamachau does a quick and easy lunch in the CBD. Seating is limited, this is more of a grab and go place. My favourites are the cold roll combos with the lotus chips (yum) and the iced tea. The rare beef is probably the best. If you have the time for a nap/food coma in the afternoon try the KFC (Korean Fried Chicken), super greasy and delicious, but I guarantee you'll regret it that afternoon but come back again!
Simply astounding flavours are to be found in their mystical soft, fluffy buns (bao). The pork belly is Devine and their Korean Fried Chicken bun is also more than fine. The bbq pork is pretty good too. I didn't do the tofu, but chances are it is pretty good too. Order 2-3 buns to make a decent lunch. I usually do 3, 2 of the pork belly and one of the KFC. Nom, nom nom. My mouth is seriously watering just thinking about this food. They also do cold rolls and some rice bowls. Nothing is wrong with a limited menu when everything on it is so close to perfection. Every day I go for a lunch time walk and my feet keep bringing me back for some more bun-fun. Note there is only two small tables of 3 seats each, so no easy lingering as you scoff down this Asian goodness.
