Restaurant bewertenIt's average. I wouldn't say it's amazing, but definitely not the worst. We booked 2 rooms but only 1 was ready at check-in but this was due to them being a team member down in house keeping. The room was okay. The bed was comfy and lighting was good. However there was a huge stain on the sofa bed, nets had dirt on them and the toilet roll holder was falling off of the wall. 1 of the 2 mugs were dirty. Photo evidence can be provided if needed. Other than that, it was fine. Convenient location and easy to find. I would recommend that more tea, coffee and sugar should be put into the rooms. Cannot comment on the Starling Cloud pub itself as we did not eat there and don't think we would at almost £10 a breakfast. I definitely do not think our room was a £110 room.
Very quick service. What we ordered was very good with crispy chips. Steak was very good and cooked to order. My chicken was a generous portion. Would go back if in Aberystwyth again.
Quick and attentive staff. Little confusion as to where we could sit with our dog but that may have been our error in not reading signs? Food was served quickly and was hot and perfectly cooked. Very friendly place to visit. We will definitely be back.
Awful place! Went as a large group. The place was empty yet we were seated next to another large group of people! Food was served to adults first and we had to ask where the kids meals were! When they eventually came out the adults had already finished eating and the kids food was overcooked. Also had to ask where the sides were! In the end we cancelled our puddings and left. Very disappointed
I really don 't like to make negative comments about place like this and I 'm quite understanding of the difficulties they can have, but this was a genuinely disappointing experience. The first thing that struck, was the food scraps left under the table, which doesn 't give a great impression regarding cleanliness. The table we were given had two heights, which created obvious issues regarding drink stability. The menu is quite varied, with a couple of vegan a some vegetarian options on offer. The prices appear a little on the expensive end of the scale, as it 's hardly Michelin standard. When we had finished, we were asked how the meal was, we mentioned that the children 's cheeseburgers had been quite peppery, especially for young children. I mentioned that I tried it myself and I found it to be too peppery to enjoy, the response was not particularly apologetic, from either of the staff members we told. I would guess that nothing we said will be taken into account and that pepper would continue to be over used. The indoor children 's 'play area , has 4 wall puzzles and 3 vending machines, in addition to plenty of litter, which had clearly been there for some time. The staff were polite, but clearly at a loss of what to do in the event of customer complaints. In summary, it was somewhere that offered vegan options, the service was fine, parking is easy, unfortunately however, it won 't be on my must go back list.
