Restaurant bewertenI have been a loyal customer of Milestones on the high street for years, but I am disappointed to say that I will not be returning. During my last visit on a Friday night about a month ago, I discovered a large piece of what appeared to be a broken water glass in my food. I accidentally bit into it and luckily only suffered a minor cut in my mouth. I notified the waiter, who then informed the manager. They both apologized and offered to replace the dish, but still charged us for the rest of our meal. I was shocked that they did not offer any compensation for the dangerous oversight. I could have suffered a serious injury or a child could have ingested the glass. I contacted Milestones' office to express my concerns but received no response. This experience has left me feeling disappointed and I feel obligated to share my story online as a caution to others.
The service started off a bit slow, but they more than made up for it by being very attentive once we were seated. They apologized for the wait and provided us with excellent service. I dined with my two small children and we all enjoyed our meal. The food was fantastic.
I would like to begin by saying that milestones is one of our favorites in abbotsford. our dinner experience yesterday was uneasy. our server was very slow when taking part in our table, including providing our drinks and ordering. on the one hand I had to. put another worker to the heart to give us water that was slow to come. on a second occasion, I had to ask another employee to find our server so that we can order. as soon as we received our main dish as well as our appetizer, it was almost cold. when we enjoyed the past milestones, this was a disappointing experience that was least to say.
We usually enjoy Milestones but their menu has changed and quite a small selection. My husband got the ribs and I got my usual Mediterranean chicken. The Mediterranean chicken seems to have changed and didn’t enjoy it as much as I usually do, oh well....But my husband took a bit of his ribs and ate a long hair and had to pull it out of his mouth, eww. We told the server and he said sorry they would remake it. He left the fries for him to munch on and I ate my meal alone then we waited for his to be remade. They finally brought it out and they didn’t replace the fries! What! Who wants to eat their meal one thing at a time and not enjoy a few fries with it? We ignored that problem then when it was time for the bill the server asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu, we said no we were full (and had been there long enough) after we said no he offered to pay for a dessert, how awkward that he would ask after we had already said no to dessert. I mean seriously. Then we got the bill and no money was taken off for the inconvenience of having to eat a hair and wait to eat separately. That waiter just made us feel like it was our fault or we were a problem. I wish I got his name. As we left we talked to the hostess about it and she was just amazing and encouraged us to talk to a manager, so we did and the manager offered us a gift certificate to apologize, we accepted. Five minutes later she gave us a typed up letter for some money off next time we come
The 3 cheese omelet I had was not good. The texture of the egg was similar to what you would find in a Tim Hortons breakfast sandwich. The ingredients were added much later after the omelet cooled down. Essentially, the thin piece of cheese in...the middle was not even melted. My wife's California benny was much better. However, still a typical benny.
