Restaurant bewertenThe okonomiyaki was delicious. It had the flavors I like. I have read that many reviews mention the service is not good, but I personally didn't find it particularly bad. The staff wasn't very friendly, but it didn't bother me much as long as I enjoyed the food.
I visited on the Sanin Line. The train stops for over an hour at the Izumikawa Station, so I took the opportunity to eat. I tried the Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, and it was quite delicious. Since it takes time to cook, it's recommended to eat first and then explore the town of Kawamoto. As the closure of the Sanin Line approaches, it is expected to become even more crowded. When the train arrives at the station, I recommend walking to the restaurant.
While traveling on the San'in Main Line with my friends, we had about an hour to spare at the Izumoshi-Gawara Station. We were looking for a place to eat outside the station when we happened to come across this restaurant and decided to go in. In a nutshell, it was cheap and delicious. The crispy texture of the noodles perfectly matched the taste, making us feel like we were getting a great deal for the price. I don't remember the exact prices, but I do remember exclaiming how inexpensive it was. Unfortunately, the San'in Main Line is about to be discontinued, making this town essentially a deserted island. It's a shame, but there's nothing we can do about it. However, I hope this restaurant will continue to operate even after the train line is gone. As a railroad enthusiast myself, I visited the San'in Main Line specifically for a train ride. So, to all railfans and train photographers out there, when you visit Izumoshi-Gawara, why not try experiencing the local life and supporting the community instead of just grabbing something to eat at a convenience store?
