Good Karma Vegan House - San Jose

I am totally addicted to the “BBQ chicken” and “fried chicken” here, as well as the pasta. The tofu scramble is also quite tasty. I’m not a big fan of the big steamed bun, as I find it a bit dry. The chocolate peanut butter tofu pie is pretty good. They serve huge portions here for a good price. Depending on who is working, the service is either really good or really bad.

I run multiple restaurants and this is one of the ONLY places I love to eat. Excellent food and service all the time

Great vegan food that is quick and delicious! My only complaint and the deduction for the 1 star is that the prices are very high for what you get. I know food has become more expensive due to inflation and it costs to hire staff and keep a business running, but these prices are outrageous to be honest. The burritos are hefty and filling, but I was surprised to pay the same amount for two small tacos that dont go very far. The tacos used to be more substantial in the past. Id like to suggest that this restaurant starts including sides with the tacos to justify the high cost and make it more filling. Im also hoping they will add some new items to their menu as its been the same for many years with little to no variety.

Bun looks like something stepped on it. salad had too many peanuts, Chile Verde has good flavor but rubbery texture and doesnt look at all like photo.

Ordered a kale bowl, got 2 pieces of kale. Should be called a bean and quinoa bowl. Ordered the kimchi bowl, got 90% rice, a small layer of kimchi and no yuba strips! Used to be good, lately I always regret giving this place another try.
