Tsuruya Sushi - San Diego

To be fair, we came in on a Wednesday night. The location is not all that great as in it's a little tough to get into due to the traffic flow. Decor is average. We sat at the bar, sushi chef Jay was friendly and funny. A big plus for me is they have four types of tobiko which not all places carry these days. Sushi was OK, not superb, not bad. Again, to be fair, Wed. Is not a delivery day for them. We had one specialty roll which was ok. Service was excellent. I would rate them average to slightly above.

Yum yum! We love this place for the sushi and the strawberry chilled sake. Garlic edamame is oh so yummy and always a must. Happy hour menu every day 3-6pm.

Found this sushi place..by accident. And I am glad.. the location is a bit difficult..but its totally worth the effort. I sit at the bar and ordered the Sashimi (salmon) super fresh! And yummy....also got the spicy tuna rolls..its was delicious..I'm definitely going to be back to this place...I'm super happy I found it. Also I don't have any pictures because I just couldn't stop eating..its that good

I’d never been there before but I went there on my lunch hour (which I only have 30 minutes of) hoping I’d be in and out quick and my California roll was ready in 5-6 minutes! Super quick, very fresh and good portion, very satisfied and I will be coming back!
