Restaurant bewertenI made a reservation for 12 people for April 7 at 7 pm, and got an email confirmation. Then 1 hour before 12 of us was supposed to meet there, I get a phone call telling me they cannot accommodate 12 people. I don't understand why they couldn't let me know sooner so our group could make other arrangements. There were already people in transit to Genji. Then, an hour later, I get a text from the restaurant telling me all 12 of my party needs to be there or we would lose our reservation. I had already been told they couldn't accommodate our group! A few minutes later, I get a call telling me there was some kind of miscommunication. Very unorganized, and they lost our business. They would have made a lot from our party of 12. We will never go there again. There are other Japanese Steak Houses in the area.
Great food and atmosphere and the entertainment by cook was great!! He kept us laughing and entertained. Huge serving, you'll leave with leftovers. Can't wait to go again!!
I dont apreciate the 18 percent aitomatic gratuity. I eat out several times a week and always tip well. The service is not exemplary at genji and our party of four had one check. We will not be back for that reason. The food was tasty because of the extra soy sauce and butter.
We dine here every time we make it to Columbus. Best fried rice ever. The YumYum sauce should have its own food group!!!
Genji is an all time favorite in my family, so of course we chose to have our annual Christmas gathering there. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. Because our reservation was for 16, we got separate servers chefs. With that said, one side went on to the main course, while the other side waited for their soup salad. One server tried 3 times to separate the checks, finally got it right on the 4th attempt. The food was great, it always is, yet pricey. All in all, it was just an OK experience.
