Restaurant bewertenFirst of all, they need a better sign and lighting out front. It’s a black metal (or wrought iron) sign but it’s very difficult to see and impossible to read if you’re coming from the north. Especially at night it’s hard to tell if they’re open. It’s a great building with.nice atmosphere. The staff was the best thing about the place super personable, helpful and efficient. They have a large variety of beer and wine but soda and cocktails are also available. The menu is fairly limited. Tried the beer knots which are essentially fried nuggets of dough served with either marinara, ranch or cheesy jalapeño sauce. The sauce tasted like it came from a jar. My fried chicken sandwich was very overcooked, dry and pretty flavorless. You have to pay $3.00 to get a side of fries with your sandwich and they seemed like they were likely frozen from a bag. The iced tea had no flavor at all. I really wanted to like this restaurant since it’s fairly close by, but overall, I’d say it was mediocre at best.
Great pub food reasonable prices! Gosha and staff are very friendly. Had a fun time!
Terrible waitstaff very rude couldn't have been more offended by the way I was treated
My family and I were at the tavern last night and it was busy and very warm we were able to sit inside in a quiet table with some nice air conditioning. The menu had a nice mixture of entrées and starters the salads were very good the fish and chips were excellent and desserts very good. We had mixed drinks and beer and was all good. We put some music on from the jukebox and all had a good time. We highly recommend the Hammonsville tavern a new addition to the Reading Brownsville's South Woodstock area.
A great place to grab a bite to eat and a dink. The food is great and the drink and beer selection is surprisingly vast. Its a nice place to linger and have conversation without the pressure of pestering table servers.
