Pizza Hawaii Deli - Hilo

I enjoyed a fantastic lunch special! The salad was great, and the slice of two-topping pizza was large and tasty, complete with some standard meat. Overall, it was a delicious meal.

The Mediterranean pizza and cheese bread were delicious and well-prepared. I placed a phone order for pickup, and the person who took my order was friendly and helpful. However, it took about eight attempts over ten minutes to get through. Fortunately, they answered on my last try just before I considered going elsewhere.

Change my review because I return today and the pizza was back to the big pizza I know this restaurant for. They had all the ingredients I got an icy pizza for chrisp pizza as I ordered it, and the staff was friendly and the service was fast. I hope that will be consistent. I have been there for years and I am always very satisfied They are now under new ownership, and it seems to be a certain quality control or new property problems. Pizza through the slice seems smaller, pizza crust tends to be soft, and long wait for food. I'm really disappointed with what they used to be and what they are now. The last visiting music was loud and I couldn't talk to my guest. I asked her to turn it off, and they did, but not enough. They ran out of the pane and without asking my wife and I cooked a little pizza half and half, a full hour later with a soggy crust and 2/3 of what my wife ordered and about a third of what I ordered. I told the counter that I was unhappy and why, but that was strike three since new property, I won't be back. We finished the remaining 6 discs away because of the low quality.

Our pizzas were like that. The worst was the man who made the pizza and also took our order, had filled a huge pile of chewing tobacco into his mouth and constantly looking for a place to spit. Just rough. If you eat in the restaurant good luck finding a clean table. If you eat outside on one of their tables, good luck will get your order. Good luck getting your order hot. Good luck finding the workers after finally eating your order for utensils.

I was very excited to try this place after reading the reviews. I am not sure if they had an off night, but my experience wasn't as great. I ordered one slice with one topping. The cheese was not melted all the way through. The flavor was off as well. The cinnamon knots were a disappointment. They were overcooked, which left them dry and crunchy. I might consider trying this place again because others have had better experiences, but I would be cautious.
